Guide
Uploading documents in Doc Flow+
Upload TXT or PDF files from the board dashboard, extract text, run AI actions, and optionally save versions or link output to a Trello card.
Before you upload
- Open Doc Flow+ from a Trello board (board button → Dashboard or Upload).
- Free plan supports TXT only. Pro unlocks PDF uploads.
- Scanned or image-only PDFs are rejected — use text-based PDFs.
Step-by-step
From the board menu, choose Doc Flow+ → Upload (or open Upload from the dashboard).
Drag and drop into the upload area, or click Select file. Supported: .txt and .pdf (Pro).
Doc Flow+ parses the file in memory and shows a progress bar. You will see extracted text preview on success.
Summarize, proofread, rewrite, or save as a document. You can also link the result to the current Trello card.
File limits
| Type | Max size | Plan |
|---|---|---|
TXT (text/plain) |
2 MB | Free & Pro |
PDF (application/pdf) |
10 MB | Pro |
| Extracted text | 200,000 characters | All plans |
After upload
- Summarize — get a concise overview of long documents.
- Proofread — fix grammar and clarity issues.
- Rewrite — adjust tone (Pro).
- Save document — store a version when your workspace retention mode allows it.
- Link to card — attach workflow context to the active Trello card.
Privacy
Upload binaries are parsed in memory; originals are not persisted in MVP. What gets stored depends on your workspace privacy mode (store documents, summaries only, or metadata only). See the Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
- PDF uploads locked — upgrade to Pro from Account inside the Power-Up.
- No extractable text — the PDF may be scanned; export a text-based PDF or use TXT.
- Upload limit reached — monthly upload limits reset per workspace; see Account for usage.
